SFP28 Host Board V10 is a high-speed,Small Form Factor Pluggable SFP28 host board designed for evaluating SFP+ and SFP28 modules that operate at data rates up to 32Gbps. The host board can be
used to test a variety of different modules, and includes additional features for testing, monitoring, and programming SFP28 reference design boards.

2 Reference Design Details
Description:
1,2: High speed differential data input. J12 is DIN+, J11 is DIN-;
3,4: High speed differential data output. J10 is Dout+, J9 is Dout-;
5: JTAG Interface: For JTAG Debug/download. The JTAG signals are multiplexed with SFP28 Host
connector, then we can use J29 as JTAG interface for SFP28 module debug or firmware download.

6: +3.3V Power supply input connector, It is used for connection with external Power supplier such as
IT6332A(ITECH).
Note: JP13 is external +3.3V power supplier and J6 is a +5V adaptor, when we adapt JP13 to supply
power, the J6 should be NC(No connection); when we adapt J5 to supply power, the JP13 should be
NC(No connection);
7: DC 5V Adaptor input connector, we can use a 5V DC power adaptor to supply the +5V power. The board have LDO
to convert 5V to 3.3V for module and system board power.
8: J66 is reversed interface, MU_GPIO1~MU_GPIO10 is input/output IO for reversed usage. We can set or get these IOs
0 or 1 by I2C bus.

9: Power switch, control the on/off of external DC 5V adaptor’s power supply:
10: SFP28/SFP+ Module, it can be plugged in the DUT: SFP28/SFP+ Module;
11: Dip switch, It can be setted RS0, RS1 status for module

Short Pin2 and Pin3, it can enable Module TX (Optical TX enable);
Short Pin1 and Pin2, it can disable Module TX (Optical TX disable);
13, 14,15: LED indicator:
--Schematic:
-- 13 – D26: Mod_ABS indicator, if plug in the module, the red LED off, when module plug out, the red LED
would light.
-- 14 – D24: TX_FAULT indicator, the module’s TX is normal, the yellow LED off, when the module’s TX is fault,the yellow LED would light.
-- 15 – D25: LOS indicator, the module’s RX detect the optical signal, the red LED off, when the module’s RX can
not detect the optical signal (lower than the sensitivity level) the red LED would light.
16, External control interface, it can be used as interface with external MCU board. Then we can monitor TX 3.3
Power supply(MON_3V3T/ MON_3V3VT) and its consumption current, we can monitor RX 3.3 Power
supply(MON_3V3T/MON_3V3VR) and its consumption current. We can get LOS and TX_Fault Status of module,
and enable/disable the optical TX by the GPIO – TX_DIS_M;
